We knew the tactics we would face from the home side as it's been wheeled out constantly this season. We even thought we might manage to get something from the game after we went two goals to the good early on. But then it all went belly up as the Reds scored four unanswered goals to keep us firmly rooted to the bottom of the group. Upsides Juanmi scored his first goal for the club and young Gimenez scored a late consolation goal after coming off the bench. Downsides Ziyech and Juanmi picking up yellow cards. Not ideal coming in half way through the group stage and trying to turn things around after such an abysmal start, but two games left and we will try to gain back a bit of self respect.

Rangers 1 - 2 Leeds

Made heavy weather of this one and didn't play as well as we can but with two important players out we got the job done and just about deservedly so.
It puts us in a good strong position at the top of the group but with work still to do, only a 3 point gap and tight in behind us so we still need to stay switched on. A win in the next game would probably do it so hopefully we can make that happen.

Played Burrows, good luck for the rest mate.

Crystal Palace 0 - 1 Lazio

this game was very hard to sheet for. A win was needed to bring us back into contention. 2 games left. And we ideally need minimum 4 points from them.

Osimehn again scoring a vital goal, and one that sees him depart the club soon,

but he has done a stellar job for the team.

Trippier MOM, and stats I think we shaded just.

onto rangers. No easy team. But we should have our new attack by then.

Sevilla 3 - 2 Sheffield Wednesday

Great to have qualified with 2 games left (barring the overhaul of a superior GD of 9!) but we want to finish top (assume that gives us an easier draw in the next round?)

The Owls were unlucky with 2 injuries in the 1st 7 that needed 2 subs! Never see that before in an ESMS game!

We were 3 up before switching off and letting them back in .. nice to spread the love with 3 different scorers ..

The last 30 was a bit of a panic but we stood firm to secure another win
