    Chelsea 0 - 2 Aston Villa

    A very tight and well contested cup tie at Stamford Bridge saw Aston Villa edge out the home side Chelsea. With both teams probing it was the Villa youngster Florian Wirtz who opened the scoring in the first period and despite some good play from both sides it took until the closing stages before Ian greaves boys put the game beyond Chelsea courtesy of a strike from Luka Jovic. A scare also for Villa as central defender Jamaal Lascelles limped off following a knock but early indications show no lasting damage and the back man is expected to be available for the League match later this week.

      Wendies 0 - 1 Leeds

      Not the most exciting tie in the world and C vs C probably contributed to that to b fair.
      We did have the better of the stats and deserved to win the game on the face of it.
      Unbelievably we have actually managed to keep a clean sheet. Fuck knows how that has happened, it's nothing short of a miracle.
      Good win though against a decent side and it gets us through to the semi's so we are able to keep distracting ourselves from the abysmal league form we have shown this season. Maybe we can do a cup double and get relegated for an ultra exciting ultra odd season.

        Aston Villa 2 Chelsea 0

        Again stats favoured us in every department, but we come out on the wrong side of a 2-0 scoreline.A bit frustrating to say the least but thats the way its going at the moment. We have an opportunity on Thursday night however to put it right,so we go again.Well done Ian, now go and win it.

          Arsenal 2 - 1 Brighton

          The Gunners booked their place in the semi final of the FA Cup with a 2-1 win over Brighton. A double from Chiesa ensured that Brighton would not be progressing although they did score in between Chiesias two strikes with their only shot on target throughout the game which was won late on through Chiesa to please the Arsenal boss ;

          " We wanted a decent cup run because last season we failed on that front so to reach the semi finals is an achievement in itself. Chiesa now sits on ten goals for the season which is a great return in his first season here but the next round will be tough now with just four sides left.

          Pleased to have a cup run but we need to take this level of performance into the league ".
