    Chelsea 3 1 Roma

Chelsea scored in the first minute so we were always chasing this game, they added a second in the 40th minute and it felt like game over. We scored with 10 minutes to go which gave us a small amount of hope but to no avail.

The win puts Chelsea back in the frame after their poor start. And with Man City running away with the group, it looks like the rest of us are battling for the 2nd spot.

      Aston Villa 1-3 Barcelona

A very even game that saw the home team strike first midway through the first period and then a penalty awarded to the visitors very soon after helping them to level up the scores. The Spanish side made the most of their chances from that point and in the end took what looked like a comfortable three group points.

        Blancos 2 - 1 Spurs

Not the worst performance I’ve seen away to the spanish Galacticos. And we had to play with ten men for over sixty minutes after Juan Forlin was sent off. Their winning goal came after we switched tactic trying to steal the win but it failed. Youssef En-Nesyri got our goal. Another loss in CL means our dream of making the QF is gone. We’re going to try to finish the campaign on a high and play some good football.

        Well played Steven.

          Atletico Madrid 2-3 MANCHESTER UNITED

On one hand job done getting another win, on the other we have a big injury for the next game and with a weaker GK made the last few minutes a bit tetchy. People can look at stats but I felt that the exposure of the weak goalie and Madrid throwing the kitchen sink is what made that difference but its pleasing to win and edge closer to qualification.

            Bayern Munich 6 - 3 Burnley
"I have massive respect for Radan and what he has done at Burnley so to have such a good game with his team is always a pleasure. Looking at the performance its clear that we need to keep upping the levels and moving forward. Its pleasing to put a little run together but we need to carry this onto Thursday and next week.

The table is TIGHT so we need to win 2 more of the remaining 3 games to qualify.

            GG mate"

              Real Madrid 2 - 1 Spurs

"Tight game tonight but an important win. We got a little lucky to go up against 10 men in the second half which helped us push on to get the winner. PSG got lucky to beat Everton with their keeper going off and them getting 2 goals for the win, so we're in a good spot in the group - but still work to do. We will see Eduardo again soon in London, and I'm sure it will be another tough game."

                Chelsea 3 Roma 1

A deserved win here, but I fear too little too late, to salvage our Champions league hopes this season. As Derek says it would seem Manchester City are going through, and the rest of us chasing that second place. If that's the case it's a tough run in.At least we're back in it with these points and it brings the competition to life for us. Good game mate, see you next time.

                  Arsenal 4 - 3 Juventus

The Gunners made it back to back wins in the Champions League, a welcome distraction from the poor form in the Premiership that they currently find themselves in but a massive win sees them sit level on points now with Bayern Munich and Juventus after three games following the vital win last night. A double from Correa along with strikes from Dybala and Chiesa saw the Gunners never fall behind in the tie and earn a huge three points in their hope of making it out of group B.

                  The Gunners boss spoke after the game ;

" I spoke to Andy before the game where we both had our views on things but Im well chuffed to get the win over a very good side that so very nearly won EFL1 last season. The league is a real struggle for us right now but we are doing well in the Champions League but we need to turn that form in the domestic games and soon but for now, delighted to get the win over Andy....who has been very quiet since "

                    Atletico 2 Man U 3

A third game in the champions league where we have outshot the opponents but have only 1 point to show for the great performances. Always disappointing to lose to an error teamsheet when you have been brought up on stricter rules in other leagues.
One of those nights when your 20-rated gk saves 3/6 and the opponents 16-rater saves 7/9 and a 3-rated defender scores his one-time goal of the season.
Tough day at work. Tough life issues. Tough luck. Bit salty.

                    gg Steve.

                      Aston Villa 1 Barcelona 3

We desperately needed a win in this one after our opening 2 games and obviously delighted to have managed that.

Looking at the stats there really wasn't anything between the sides and so we're fortunate to win there's no doubt about that. Jesus finally getting back on the goal trail when we needed him most.

Still a long way to go in the group, Man Utd look home and hosed but any of the other 3 sides can still progress with them so it's still all to play for in the remaining 3 matches.

                      Cheers Ian

                        Arsenal 4 - 3 Juventus

We knew coming into this game, if we drew our away games and won our remaining home game we'd get through the group..however we got off to a poor start away from home.

We expected C from Arsenal and decided to switch up from our usual C to counter theirs....Seems Darren had the same idea.

After 16 minutes, Arsenal had taken the lead and we switched up to P, within 15 minutes we'd pulled level and it was E vs E again.

Heading out of half time at 1-1, Arsenal looked to change things up and quickly changed tactics to P and soon after retook the lead.

With the tactics at P vs P, Arsenal doubled their lead with less than 20 minutes to play and it seemed to be all over however a flurry of goals in the next 8 minutes saw us draw within 1, only for Arsenal to score a 4th before we scored a 3rd of our own.

We tried to find a 4th but couldn't.

The group table is extremely tight and anyone of that top 3 could not only go through, but win the group.

Statistically Arsenal were the better team so we have no issues with the defeat, good game Darren.
