It's looking increasingly like we are getting a replay of last season's draw, after draw, after draw!! We had both home advantage and tactical advantage throughout but it really didn't help us. Two nil up and you'd think we'd be fine but Ajax thought differently and came back strongly. Stats wise we only just edged it but very little in it to be honest. In the end Ajax had a penalty shout declined and a goal disallowed before they equalised, so I suppose it could have been far worse for us.

Upsides Oscar Melendo had a cracking game and defender Pascal Struijk rated up to 17. Plus fellow defender Reece Oxford is on the verge of doing the same. Special mention goes to Jakub Moder who not only had a very good game today but is having a great season so far sitting just in front of the back four. Downside is Brahim is not having a great season and this is reflected in his poor disciplinary record so far as he seems intent on getting another suspension as quickly as possible. An attitude that may see him out the door before too long if he doesn't mend his ways.

Very well played Alfredo, deserved the point if not more.

Next game we are away to Cardiff with the pressure building on this Wolves manager and squad to get a decent result.

      Derby County 3-2 Villarreal

This game a reminder that we are a long way off the abilities that many other teams in the division have within their ranks. You could argue we made a fist of it looking at the scoreline but in realty we was out played. Credit to my boys for pulling the score back level having been two behind at one stage but the Derby County winner was always on the cards and we could seemingly do little about it. We will try to be positive in our aproach and see where it takes us.

        Boeren 1 - 4 Königsblauen

A perfect away performance to the mighty boeren from the netherlands. It was a game we dominated from the start and was 3-0 up at half time. Joaquin Correa opened the score in the 10th minute before it turned into a Simon Terodde show. The big man scored twice, two right footed goals. It gave us a comfortable 3-0 lead.

The home side turned the heat on right after the break when Quinten Timber made it 3-1 but they never seemed to get back in game. Florent Mollet finalised the score twelve minutes before full time and it earned us a superb win. It takes us up to second and we’re still unbeaten. An outstanding start to the season for us.

        Well played Sam.

          Porto 3-0 Sociedad

Ah well, the good run comes to an end, well beaten here in a poor performance. Perhaps the lads were tired after extra-time cup heroics in midweek!
Our usually reliable keeper had an off day, but even so it was a fair result. GG timbo
Hopefully we can get back to winning ways against Villerreal next week.

            Atalanta 2 - 4 Middlesbrough

An impressive away win which puts us top of the table for just 6 points. After starting out with a defeat and a draw, I thought this season would be a big struggle but since then we've found a way to score a lot of goals and the results are going in our favour for now.

Onto the game, I expected Atalanta to play E so we went for A...Only for the hosts to play C.

We took the lead on 15 minutes and doubled the lead just a minute later and looked in complete control....Both teams switched to A and this is where it fell apart for us.
Goals on 21 & 23 minutes brought Atalanta back level and we were left scratching our heads and applying savlon to our arsehole.

We feared the worst at this point but we regained the lead shortly before half time and wrapped the points up deep into stoppage time at the end of the game to secure a 4-2 victory on the road.

Statistically it was a fairly even game, so harsh on Tim to lose this one.
I hope you stick around Tim, all the best if not.

            Good game.

              Porto 3-0 Sociedad

good win and good performance, downside…… another bloody injury. 2 players unavailable again for the next game.
Lovely and comfortable three points at least though to add to what is in all fairness a pretty good start to the season. Got to try and get some of the boys some minutes. It’s a nightmare trying to get these lower rated players minutes. The new teams have been lumbered with a load of crap players that require on some places ludicrous amounts of minutes to be able to keep them and yet we don’t have the cash to be able to lose them so rotate we must.

                Derby 3 - 2 Villareal

Finally!!! Although we made hard work of it. We had enough chances to win comfortably but I guess the early season frailties of giving games away having either being in the lead or at least being in the game played on the players minds. But a win is a win, it is what we needed and hopefully we will go on to add a few more to our tally.

                  RB Leipzig 5 - 1 Watford
RB Leizpig's best performance so far this season, great team result with Martial hitting a superb hattrick within 10 minutes along with fellow striker Milik scoring first and to finish off this rout midfielder Mckennie scoring the fifth. This takes us up to ninth in the Conference after a stuttering beginning.

                    PSV 1-4 Schalke

"Not surprising with how open we are playing at the moment and how weak our defence is stat wise we are always going to ship goals, Schalke are a good side and playing well at thr moment, we've just got to keep developing and keep building and it will hopefully pay dividends at some point soon, still cant fault my teams efforts we will get there soon enough."
