Dortmund 4 - 2 Real Madrid

We raced into a two-goal lead in the opening twelve minutes, with Brazilian midfielder Reinier getting both goals for the home side. Luis Diaz got Real Madrid back level with a quick-fire double of his own. The first half was almost done when Patson Daka put the home side 3-2 up before the break. Real Madrid did create a lot of chances to get back in the game, but special mention goes to Dortmund Goalkeeper Gregor Kobel, who played a major part in keeping the Madrid attack at bay.

In fairness to Real Madrid, they bossed the game overall stats wise and maybe a draw would have been a fair result. That said, I am happy that we finally got our first points of the season, the challenge now for us is to build on this performance and start to climb the table.
