BONANZA DETAILS COMING SOON
Leeds flew out of the traps with De Gea it knowing where the ball was and tomiyasu tapping in less than a minute.
already up against it, the P tac was switch to E to try and recover,
Aouar delivered the goal on 17 minutes.
Alot of back and forth and no real menace to either teams play, we managed to restrict Leeds to just 3 on target from 12 shots, but we in turn only managed 6 on target,
stats and possession were not a million miles from giving this a draw.
draw away, I’ll take it and move on to the mighty Bayern machine.
Tuesday night football isn’t something Valencia are overly used to, however tonight saw their first taste of higher tier cup football in the shape of the Dave Philips Trophy.
Placed in group D with the likes of Monaco, Southampton, and West Ham it was the latter who Valencia faced in their first game.
Both teams league wise are pretty evenly matched. Luckily for us though Valencia’s strength shone through, and we finished the match with a comfortable 2-0 result.
First game done and top of the table, hopefully the results continue, and we can progress out of the group and into the knockouts.
5 games played, 3 league games, 2 draws, 1 cup game which went to pens and 1 DPT game which surprise surprise ended in a draw. We yet again dominated possession.. I say dominated but we only had 54%, and we outshot the visitors by a single shot. All in all probably the result is fair on both sides, the C really gave them a big advantage. We will try and focus on City next as we need to get back to winning ways, but can we win?
What the hell is going on? another game and another fantastic result for the Sporting Lisbon as they continue their perfect start to the season.
Sporting Lisbon fans are normally used to low scoring wins with the occasional battering losses thrown in. This season so far however the Sporting Lisbon faithful have seen their heroes score 16 goals in 5 games averaging 3 goals a game that helped them win 5 out of 5 games.
A feature of each game so far has been an early Lisbon goal and in the 7th minute Robert Lewandowski silenced Saint James Park when he got on the end of Rick Karsdorp slick pass to send the away end mental.
Saint James Park was like a morgue in the 28th minute when Devyne Rensch got Sporting Lisbon's 2nd and his own 2nd goal of the season when in smashed in Gianluca Mancini nod on.
The Sporting Lisbon taunted the Geordies with chants of "is this a fire drill" as the home fans starting making their ways to the exits after watching Robert Lewandowski pull of amazing skill before smashing the ball past Strakosha to make it 3-0.
With the ground half empty the remaining hardcore Geordies let out a whimper of delight when De_Tomas pulled a goal back to make it 3-1 to the away side in the 84th minute.
The only real remaining action of the game was Juan Mata going of injured in the 85th minute which could possibly cause a bit of problems for Sporting Lisbon as he is out for 3 games.

Another great win for the lads today and a much needed opening day victory especially as we play away in 3 of our opening 4 games.
Goals have been a serious problem for us for many many seasons even before I arrived as manager, so I am really happy with our goal return so far this season and the fact we still have a 100% record across all competitions.
Newcastle United had a lot of the ball with 57% possession and as you would expect from the home team they created slightly more chances with 14 to our 13. They also had more shots on target with 7 to our 5 but the Big Lewandowski was purchased because he has scored goals for fun his whole career and he is currently continuing that form getting his 4th and 5th of the season tonight to give us a return of 5 goals in 5 games.
There are no easy games in this group so it was a massive win tonight against a very good team and very good manager so I am well chuffed to get this result.
We need to keep taking one game at a time and hopefully this form can carry on for a good while yet.
The perfect start which is very unusual for us as we normally conceed the first goal but but looks like things mit be changing after going 2 up in 5 minutes but one thing that hasnt changed yet is how easy we leak goals, Monaco done well to pull it back level in the 89th minute which i thought would have guaranteed them a point but it wasnt to be for them as we got the winner in the 93rd and all 3 point. We've never really done well in the DPT going out at the group stage everytime but hoping this season we can actually put up a fight and go further.

Pleased to come away from this one unbeaten as on paper this is our hardest fixture of the 6 at the group stage ...
Predicted 'Pool would go with 532P so decided to outnumber them in midfield, rotating between C and E .. matched them at their place and pleased considering our best midfielder Partey was out suspended ...
Discipline is our main concern with another 3 yellows tonight ... Raingod is also considering an offer for Jorginho which would improve his overall team but possibly unbalance it by losing our main DM ... watch this space
What a game. It was definitely one for the neutrals and surprising considering both sides setup with a 5-3-2 formation. An early goal from Palace should have settled it but the Scottish side had other ideas and struck back not too long after. They took the lead and after Palace equalised they had the ball in the net but it was ruled out. The winner was scored fairly late on but gives the Londoners three massive points. It was deserved as although the possession stats were shared the chances were mostly Palaces'. I'm very happy with this start and overall we are playing better than expected.

Only had 3 defenders to choose from so knew this was going to be tough game.
GG Sanchez hopefully next time we play I've got the option of full team to choose from
