Bayerns first home game of the season resulted in a great victory and performance. Jon Banks had the following to say

"We did a lot of work tactically over the close season to look at the last few seasons and the games we lost, where we can improve and so on. Sevilla did the double over us last season and it stunk. We came here today to welcome the Munich fans to this new era and squad of players with goals, passion and hard work.

To see all 4 of my forward players scoring was also very pleasing"

2 games in and 2 defeats ... hmmm ... we expected a tough one having surprisingly done the double of JB last season ...

We named an unchanged side from the cup win, but perhaps we should have still looked to tweak a few things ..

1 down at HT, their team talk was better than mine as we were 3-0 down within 10 mins ...then 4-0 on 68 ..

At least we scored the best goal of the game on 81, then a 2nd great goal from Nunez with 2 to play ... could we make a sensational comeback and get 2 in the dying minutes? Nope, we gave away a pen and it finished 5-2 ..

Bayern definately deserved the win .. but perhaps 3 goals flattered them when you look at the stats

God knows what happened in this one! I can't even blame the goalkeeper injury as we had already let in 6 by the time he went off injured. Going to be a long hard season ahead, but we will keep going!
