BONANZA DETAILS COMING SOON
Well this was a bonkers game and we're delighted we managed to get the win, but I'm disappointed at how we let a 2 goal lead slip. We looked comfortable enough but once Blackburn went two down they threw the kitchen sink at us, and simply we struggled with the overloads. But we found two opportunities to settle the tie, probably a bit of fatigue kicked in for them? I don't know. We're happy ofcourse with our attacking efforts, but we've not been strong enough at the back, which in the preseason I felt could cause us problems when we let the likes of Berchiche and Geertuida go to allow the younger players come in so this could be something we may tweak as games go on.
Reporter: "Karim Adeyemi gets his first goal, against his old club. He must be delighted?
Yes, he's pleased, I mean he had a bit of a grin when he scored but, it's now about getting the next one, and the one after for sure, but we're happy he's off the mark because strikers rely get judged on goals and each one will prove vital in his development.
well what a fucking joke of a season this is so far. No change in luck already. Red card and a 2 game injury last time out and and a red card in the first action this game and a 3 game injury for my keeper. Absolutely takes the piss, might as well call it a day already. That’s 3 guaranteed defeats in a row now so may as well just T the bastards.
fuck knows how we haven’t lost but like a point will make a difference anyway. Season is pretty much over before it’s begun. Bolox
Season 2 Premier League Champions - Leeds
Season 2 Conference Champions - Porto
A second single goal victory for Villa but unlike the FA Cup victory against Wolves this one proved to be a much tighter affair at Goodison Park. Will Schoolar the Everton manager always proves to be a difficult opponent and his side will surely feel they could have taken something from this game. Greaves himself was quick to praise his three close season signings who have all settled in very quickly at the club and played important roles none more so than front man Lautaro Martinez who has now found the back of the net three times in three games for his new club.
When you look at the score you might think this was the perfect home performance. But it was far from it and the result is very flattering for us.
Youssef En-Nesyri got his first brace for the club when he netted two goals in the second half. The two goals secured the win after Lucas Moura opened the score in the first half.
Today we can send our gratitude to Etienne Green for a world class performance and the key reason for us keeping a clean sheet.
Oh, dear we lost to the second best team in Sheffield, how embarrassing :P
To be fair we played shite, and were deservedly beaten, it can only get better surely.
We lazily/over confidently stuck with P, even though Wednesday were likely to go C, and despite mixing things up a bit, it didn't go well. We need to face facts we are a poor to average side in a tricky division, and make some changes accordingly.
So who's next, only Man City/Hudds in disguise, oh dear, here we go again.

“ A cracking result! We worked very hard and perhaps were a little lucky to get a point. But considering the evergreen James Milner got sent off and we played over an hour with 10 men, we will happily take our first point back in the Prem! Arsenal are one of the best sides in the league so fair play to the lads!”
Not sure how exactly but we some how scraped a point out of this one, we failed to show up today not that west ham did either but theg put up mor of a fight than us. Dont think we really deserved anything from the game after struggling to create more than 4 goos chances. Too many of my lads had a quiet day today so maybe need to consider shaking things up a little but still only 2 games have been played so now is the time to stutter if thats to happen, as at least weve time to change our fortunes but anway on to the next game time to focus and prepare for the next chance to win three point
Seventh in the league after this win. I rarely see us that high. To be fair we were a bit lucky but with our squad and the way we play we do tend to need luck. There are a few teams that play with 3 or 4 up top and we usually struggle against them. Today we got an early break and so were able to contain Stoke and hold on until the end for a big three points.
Arsenal were held to a 1-1 draw at home in their second game of the season. Perhaps they deserved more from this one but a determined Barnsley side who played some of the game with ten men certainly stood up and made it tough for the home side.
The Arsenal Manager gave his view after the game ;
" To be where we want to be, we have to go into games like these at home getting three points but it wasn't to be today. Against ten men also, we really should have taken our chances. Performance wise we were better but they dug deep to frustrate us and make it hard for us to break down so all in all the performance didn't get the result it should have which is disappointing especially after the shambolic game in round one but we have to give credit where its due and with ten men, a great point for them ".
Well, well, I didn't expect anything here, especially with a 17 rate keeper between the sticks, just goes to show you can't call any game.We won with reserve goalie in, a man sent off and away against probably the best side in the game, outstanding result.Great game to advertise ffo,but it takes two sides, so well done Man City as well.
The Leeds Machine travelled to Anfield looking to win all 3 points. Leeds were short of their 2 key defenders which The Reds were hoping to capitalise on. However it was just not meant to be our day. Even an injury to Leed's keeper couldn't help us score a winning goal.
All in all, it's probably a point gained rather than 2 lost as in pre season this match would have been a total write off.
City supremo Nick Lovell has addressed the media from the Etihad Complex today, after leaving the Etihad on Thursday without fulfilling his media obligations. When asked why he responded "I thought it was best not to talk instantly after the game. I was so angry at our defence and emotions were running high, so I may of got myself in trouble. That was the worst performance from our back line in many a season. Ederson was shocking as well, 5 shots on target and they scored them all! The lads have been in for extra training the last 2 days and they will be reminded on Sunday about there responsibilities. If they don't improve there will be changes."
Any comments on Chelsea? "They burst out of the blocks scoring within seconds of kick off and they kept going everytime we pegged them back. Stand in keeper Butez, who we targeted, had a solid game and probably won them the points with some crucial saves. Well played Andy, see you in the CL."
We've played 3 games so far, i feel we've only had 1 good game this being the worst not just because of the result but the amount of chances we created which is very poor considering are best part of the squad are the attacking players. On to the next and harder opposition so hopefully we can perform alot better.
