    Real Madrid 4-0 Barcelona

An open game for the fans to enjoy on the final day of the League season with the home team lifting the EFL trophy. We had to wait 45 minutes for the first goal but three more followed during the second 45. The scoreline probably a tad harsh on Barcelona who were weakened going into this match and also lost a Df shortly in so under more normal circumstances may have put up a better fight.

Finally thanks once again to the admin team for another season in which the game has been run immaculately. JB in particular works tirelessly but is also well backed up. I have always said this, the real hero's of FFO

        Fiorentina 1 - 3 Juventus

With PSG breathing down our necks all of a sudden after a terrible run in, we knew we had to win this one as their trip to Rome would almost certainly result in 3 points for them.

For us, a tough trip to an in form Fiorentina team who not only have been storming up the league in recent week but a team who held us to a draw at home in the reverse fixture.

Finishing 2nd or 3rd wasn’t really high up on the agenda so we opted to play a passing style of play while the hosts countered us with a C tactic.
As a back and forth first half was coming to a close we took the lead against TA and shortly after the hosts switched to E while we remained at P.

Half time came and went with us a goal up and in the second half Fiorentina switched to P & then A early on but we held firm and added a second on 73 minutes.

We then switch to A so it was A vs A and 3 minutes later it was as 3-0 and game over.

The hosts pulled a goal back a few minutes later but it was far too late and we ran out winners.

Statistically we were the better team and for once (In recent memory) we got the win we deserved to end off the season in 2nd.

        Good game Neil.
Congratulations have to go to Ian and his RM team, last season’s champions and this season’s also under new management.

Special thanks go to Nick for running the games.

          Fiorentina 1-3 Juventus

It was a party atmosphere inside the stadium, as the fans celebrated a good first season back in the big time.
It went a little flat however when Juve decided to spoil the fun with some goals, but the fans were still having fun at the final whistle anyway.

Fiorentina started the game countering, but unfortunately the first goal went the other way, and ensuing tactical changes didn't really help things. Kudus scored the only goal for the home side, and if keeper Marmadvilli had a better game maybe the result would have been different, though to be fair, Juve deserved the win. gg dude.

So, 10th it is, a position we would have settled for at the start of the season for sure, and with the second half of the season upturn in form, there is renewed hope for a better season next time around.

Congratulations to Ian, for a great season, and thanks to Nick for running the games.

              Bayern Munich 1-0 Bayer Leverkusen

Despite the loss, the Bayer Leverkusen mission has been completed. Bottom with 13 points after 18 league games, and then finishing with 34 points and safety. I will take it. Unfortunately missed out on a better European Competition thanks to some sublime form from Jason's Lisbon, but hopefully Leverkusen can get a manager in the off season. There's some talent there, but perhaps going down would've been better for the long term.

                  Atletico Madrid 0 - 0 Napoli

A damp squib to end the season on but the team go into the DPT final with the full squad available to choose from.

For Atletico it was an improvement from last seasons 08th place finish to 7th this. However, in truth this was a season that is seen as a failure with performances to finish as high as third place but results could not match. Whether this was just the luck of poor goalkeeping and finishing or something lacking tactically is the answer Marsh needs to find out and answer next season as top-4 will be the minimum target set.

Marsh commented "I can only apologise to the fans who have followed us well all season but havent quite had the season they should have got. We could so easily have got 10-15 points more but we need to try and understand why and come back next season trying to be better. We have zero transfers in place at present and I rarely get involved in deals until the season has officially ended. We will sit down have the DPT final and have a look at things but its unlikely we will see many changes this close season".
