Sometimes all you can do with ESMS is chuckle. Despite countering Valencia pretty much the whole match the above happened. Might have cost us promotion but not really sure what else we could have done.

I vaguely remembered that I had two starters suspended, but when I sat down Sunday morning to build sheets, I grabbed a roster that showed everyone was available. "The roster says everybody is available to I must have remembered that wrong". And that's how a backup keeper got minutes. Note to self. "Is this the CORRECT roster?". I'm upset, because I will now not be able to improve on last season's final position. Oh well, on to the next disaster. I'm pretty sure I'm not getting fired after this season. I'll be refining my process for pulling rosters during the off season and *should* do better. Maybe. I think.

SHALHTAR DONETSK 0-1 Ajax

Shocker! Countered our opponents for a large chunk of the tie but didn't have a performance to match and now look likely to miss out on the play offs. We missed St Juste at the back and that did play a part for us I think. But it is what it is, we have one more match and staying top 10 is priority, it would still be a great season for sure but we'll play the game with everything we have and finish as spritely as possible.

Over the season if you looked at our form you'd say it's been good, but knowing how back the games have been second half of the season we can only assume a what if scenario for our campaign. One last hurrah like we say, we'll see what the gods say.
