      Sheffield Wednesday 1 Barnsley 1

      Last chance saloon for the Owls in the south yorkshire derby..............Sheffield Wednesday are relegated!!!

      The Owls took an early lead and Marsh tried to protect it by bringing on a 5th defender, perhaps not expecting the side to score so early. Barnsley replied and time ran out with the score ending 1-1. A shot count of 14-9 could have brought so much more but it was tears at the end as the Barnsley faithful mocked their neighbours misfortune.

      Care-taker manager Simon Marsh commented "It was always likely to come but it dosnt make it any easier for the club, staff and fans to accept. Its a dark day but its not the end, the club can grow again and come back one day. I guess the target now is to avoid the wooden spoon".

        Crystal Palace 1-0 MANCHESTER UNITED

        Dominated the game, scouted the opposition for huge chunks of the tie and yet we come away with nothing. this result ends our title hopes, yes mathematically we could still do it but we'd need far too much to go in our favour, But on the game, it's a travesty on our part, we knew how Palace would line up and we should be doing a lot better in these games. I don't know what to say, we was better in every aspect of the pitch yet lost 1-0.

        Well done to Palace though, they do very well with their resources available every season and we take nothing away from them, but once again we have no answers as to what more we could've done!

          Man City 1 Spurs 2

          Fully expected a battering here so absolutely delighted to do the double over the champions. Arsenal and Liverpool ahead of us and both should end up there especially with Watford coming up for the Goons but we’ll keep battling away. We secured Champions league for next season which is huge and anything else is a bonus now. Cheers Nick gg

            Aston Villa 2 - 1 Newcastle United

            Another poor showing from us today and a result that has led the board to inform me that they’ll be looking for someone else to guide them into next season starting after Round 38.

            Villa are a team that we’re looking to compete with but they were the better team today.

            We fell behind shortly before the break but got on level terms after the hour mark and would have settled for a point but Villa took all 3 points in stoppage time.

            Statistically we were second best so we can’t complain about losing. Good game Jason.

              Leeds United 0 - 4 Chelsea

              A big away win over one of the title hopefuls which blows the whole race open, as Liverpool stay top despite only drawing. Chelsea were the big movers up into 4th place and incredibly are not out of the title race themselves, at least mathamatically anyway. A 1st minute goal from AWB set the tone, KDB got the 2nd, Bobby Firmino got the 3rd before his strike partner and former Leeds player Berardi rounded it off with the 4th goal.

                Liverpool 0 West Ham 0

                The Hammers are in a precarious position in the table and rolled out the dreaded D from the off and we just weren't good enough to break it down. We stuck with the passing approach which failed in our previous home game against Burnley and obviously that's on me. It's been the story in so many of our home games and at this stage of the season I probably should have played with more ambition as the 3 points were absolutely vital.

                The draw does keep us top by a point but my gut feeling is we've probably blown it over the past few games. We don't look like winning our final two games and I think we'll need to do just that.

                We've umpteen players walking a suspension tightrope too which is a major concern with so many big games coming up but we can't afford to be resting anyone so we just have to hope we get lucky.

                4 games from the treble or alternatively 4 games from it all going completely Pete Tong.

                  Arsenal 3 - 0 Burnley

                  Next up for Arsenal was a visit to the Emirates from Burnley who have found this season a tough one and will no doubt wonder just how on earth they have not got going and now stare relegation down the throat but The Gunners inflicted more misery on them with a 3-0 win with goals coming from Reece James, Bakayo Saka and the in demand Ansu Fati. With just a few games left, Arsenal find themselves still chasing the top spots but the Manager has said after the game that whatever the outcome, its been a great season for his players ;

                  " To still be in with a chance at winning the Premiership with so little games left is an achievement in itself and we just have to keep going until the final whistle and keep the momentum going. Its been a great season overall, Im sure we will rue the missed chances and defeats that we should have won but on the whole, Im very pleased. Todays result was pleasing but lets be honest, Burnley are so much better than their league position says and Im baffled as to how their season has gone but for today was all about the result and we got that ".

                  The Arsenal boss also gave his view on pulling out of the race for the Bayern Munich job and confirms he did hold talks in Germany ;

                  " Certainly a cracking job and one that I did have a huge interest in, a top young side and one that I feel I could have done very well with in a different league to what Ive managed in during my career in FFO but to be honest, after a lot of thought, decided that Id be best of staying in England which right now seems to be the place to be with so many Managers moving across from there ".
