    Real Madrid 4-2 Celtic

A good start for the opposition as they shot into the lead after seven minutes but we levelled a few minutes later and then nudged ahead by half time. With the game then opening up more goals came in the second period, two more from us and another from the Scottish team who were well beaten but had plenty of dangerous moments themselves. Two games to go and we remain in the driving seat.

      Fiorentina 3-1 Lazio

Nice win at home to a Lazio side that nothing is going for this season. We started cautiously and gave up tactical advantage, but when it was level at half time we switched it around, and the second half was better. It was a tight game based on the stats though, so the opposition can count themselves unlucky to leave with nothing.

Sanches has a great game in the middle, scoring two goals as well as some good all round play. I didn't realise but he is one of the top pass makers this season in the league. Kalulu also had a good game at the back. The only downside was the injury to Karsdorp early on, but at least it ensures teenager Zeze gets some more game time.

So, up to the dizzy heights of 11th, with a small chance of getting a little higher before the end of the season, but with two players out next game, and Juventus in the last game, we might well drop down a place or two. Whatever, it's been a promising end to the season.

Atletico Madrid 3 Bayern Munich 3

Still missing 2 players Atletico battled on against inform and high flying Munich who have had a sensational season. This game swung and swung. Bayern leading , Atletico leading, then Bayern leading, then Atletico leading before matters were settled for one point each:

The result and those elsewhere ensures Champion's League football next season but in truth it’s been a below average league campaign as Atletico are likely to finish 7th, possibly 8th now some way below the top-4 target.

The one bonus is with one eye on the DPT final the team may be able to rest key players in a dead rubber last game of season. At present Atletico have 2 players running the suspension tightrope. Aggression will be cut to 1 for the last two league games.

          Juventus 1 - 0 Barcelona

A league double over Barcelona is nothing to be sniffed at and with PSG breathing down our necks a win was important.

We knew Sam ‘I’m not really sheeting’ Bradwell would switch up from the A he’s been playing and would play C but we felt comfortable giving away TA as their top FW was out and our brave decision paid off early on as we took the lead on 8 minutes.

We switched to A to search for more goals and on 31 minutes it looked like we’d doubled our lead through N_Gonzalez but the officials ruled it out.

We headed into the break a goal to the good and shortly after the break, Barcelona thought they’d scored but once again the officials had other ideas as they ruled it out on 57 minutes.

Barcelona looked lost when they fell behind, no plan B and we ran out 1-0 winners.

Statistically Barcelona were the better team, having more possession than us but other than that it was dead even so I’m sure Sam will feel hard done by as a draw would have been fair. In fact I know that he feels that Barcelona were robbed as he’s told me as much.

Good game Sam, our form late on in the season has really cost us this season as Real Madrid will surely go on to win the league next week. Had we won the league my plans were to leave the game so we’ll try again next season as overall this campaign has been disappointing across all competitions.
