      Sporting Lisbon 2 - 5 Atletico Madrid

Both sides had two players missing. Sporting two defenders and Atletico one defender and one striker. Lisbons lack of depth perhaps more crucial in determining the winning side. The game was open as Marsh felt his side would create a lot more chances. The shot count however, was 26-29 and it was only Atleticos more clinical finishing on the day that won an important three points.

      Real Madrid 75 +59
      Juventus 73 +34
      PSG 67 +54
      Inter 64 +19
      Bayern 63 +18
      AC Milan 60 +17
      Atletico 59 +23
      Barcelona 55 + 9
      ------------------
      Sevilla 50 -10
      Roma 49 + 2

From the updated league table Atletico need three more points to ensure champions league football next season.

Marsh commented "Whilst we closed in on Milan only, we have pulled away from the three sides below us. We may have to lower our target to 6th place given our next game is at PSG with players missing. We realistically only have 9 more points to play for".

        Real Madrid 3-0 Feyenoord

The game started out with the away team parking the proverbial bus and hoping to stick it out for a point and that plan for Feyenoord worked throughout the first 45 minutes of this game. Shortly into the second period Raheem Sterling, the man set to depart Real Madrid at the end of the season scored a quick fire double to get the game moving a little more and calm the nerves of the home fans. Towards the end of the game Sterlings midfield partner Nico Williams popped up with another to make it look comfortable although truth be known much of this game was a slog.

          Juventus 1 - 1 Celtic

A really frustrating draw here as we yet again drop points against a poor team. We expected Celtic to play L and they did and with us having TA, HA and a better team I expect us to take the lead early on but it wasn’t to be. 10 minutes in went to 20, 30 minutes in and on 35 Celtic switched to C giving them TA and we’d wasted our chance.

Half time came and went with the score still remaining 0-0 and Celtic hit us with a sucker punch as soon as the second half started and we were again chasing the game.

K_Benzena was brought in to help us win games early on but he’s been in really poor form since signing but just 4 minutes after coming on he pulled us level on 69 minutes and both teams switched to playing P. Once again I’d have expected us to go on and win the game under these circumstances but we just couldn’t get it done and the game ended 1-1.

Statistically we were much the better team but we’re really wasteful in front of goal, converting only 3/13 shots onto the target. Good game Mati.

            Fiorentina 1-2 Leverkusen

Oh dear, the good form has deserted us. I don't think I'll play E again, though tbf we only did for a short period at the start, and they scored against the tactical advantage. The stats were pretty even, but we weren't very clinical against a resolute back line. gg dude.
Still hanging around midtable, it's all about finishing as high as possible to get a little more money now.
