    MANCHESTER UNITED 3-1 Manchester City

This was a strong performance and helped get a little retribution from the drubbing earlier in the season. Again, we play City knowing we're not at full strength and felt Nick would be ambitious in his approach, we set up the best we had with us missing one of our strikers. Captain Adeyemi stepped up in his absence and bagged a brace before Jadon Slory got off the mark (and off the bench for once) for us. We kept City at back and probably could've added more, with 12 of 13 on target today. It seems like we've been waiting for this result for too long and it's pleasing we've managed to put a result with the display after having patchy form of late.

Some results tilted in our benefit but we know we need to win the remaining 5 games, thats it, as we always say we'll keep going and just do what we can.

      Chelsea 10 (TEN) - 0 Watford

Nothing to be excited about really as we squashed a T Sheet. However we was expecting a big win regardless, but we got a bigger one than we thought we would do for sure. KDB bagged 4 goals and Firminio got a hat trick in an absolute riot. Back into the Champions League spots we climb.

          Tottenham 2 Liverpool 0

I knew this would be a tough game and so it proved. Was fairly sure Spurs would play C as they did against us earlier in the season and in hindsight giving up tactical bonus probably was too much for us to cope with. We've had some really positive results and performances playing E but yet I still lack confidence in playing it especially away from home.

Anyway stats wise it was a tight affair but we've no issues with the defeat - the only bonus is that Leeds lost too although Arsenal dug out a win and are really only a charge. You can't really count out Man Utd either - they are more than capable of winning their last 5.

We're finally back to full strength and need to bounce back against Burnley. It's in our own hands with 5 games remaining and that's all you can really ask for I guess.

            Newcastle United 3 - 2 Sheffield Wednesday

With time running out the Owls travelled north for another cup final. Newcastle flew into a 2-goal lead S_Canales (7), D_McNeil (13) and it looked like it was all over. However, the Owls fought back through goals from G_Veron (58), O_Watkins (64) and a chance for another win was on the cards. Unfortunately S_Canales (84) scored again and Wednesday were resigned to a defeat that leaves them so close to the relegation trapdoor.

New from elsewhere gave the Owls hope but we are now down to 5 points difference with only 5 games left.

Care-taker Marsh commented "We almost got a great point but its not looking great now with only 2 home games left and only 2 very difficult away games still".

If Wednesday do go down as expected then all players have made the minutes to be retained and the club will start with 23 players with none leaving.

Care-taker Marsh added "It I am still here then 1 or 2 youths will be promoted to the first team and a few older players will be instantly gone. Its been difficult to manoever much this season with few teams having more than 23 players and the transfer marker has been muted. We can make strides to drastically lower the age of the squad because having a side 13 players of 30years plus is unsustainable. We will see what happends but a new manager could be in place by close season".

              Newcastle United 3 - 2 Sheffield Wednesday

Another tough game against a resurgent Sheffield Wednesday team under Marshy.

We felt like we could play openly and be countered and still be the better team and our tactics paid off early as we took the lead after just 7 minutes. 1 turned into 2 shortly after as we doubled our lead on 13 minutes. At this point we looked in complete control.

2 goals in 6 second half minutes brought the visitors level and we had it all to do again but fortunately we scored the games 5th and final goal on 84 minutes as we sent struggling Wednesday away without a single point.

Statistically we maybe edged the game so this is probably the right result when you factor in HA and squad strength etc.

              Good game Marshy

                Cardiff City 1 - 2 Arsenal

With four wins on the spin, our best run of form for some time, we went and made it five with a 2-1 win away at Cardiff City. We had to come back from a goal down in order to secure the win which I feel overall we deserved but Cardiff did give us a game for sure. Ansu Fati and Michael Olise getting the goals to put us just a couple of points away from Liverpool who still sit in first place. Still to close to call a winner with a number of sides so close in the table but we are doing all we can to give ourselves a chance of a title challenge.
